Snow Day

We made the most of our snow day and enjoyed company! Majors loved to eat the snow. We sat at the window and watched it fall.  His Nana made a snowman with him.  He called it a ball and tried to pick it up. He wasn't sure about sharing his gloves with the snowman.  It was a great day!

Family

On New Year's Day, we drove to Fort Valley to see my Family. It was long over due! I actually couldn't stop crying when I hugged my Grandma. She is so special to me. We were all so happy to spend time together.  We have several new members of the family and it just made things even better.

NYE Baby Talk

Hey Man, the cookies are this way.

Will you please turn around so your mom will put that camera away?

Smile and she will give us whatever we want.

If we kiss they will give us more cookies.

Mom, please don't ever show this to my girlfriend.

Christmas 2013

Tina Facts

5 years ago today I lost my hero. I didn't even realize she was my hero until the end. Your mother is your hard place to fall, never right, and doesn't understand anything.  At least that is what we think, until we get older and realize your mom loves you unconditionally, is usually right, and understands exactly what you are going through.  On July 1st 2012, I became and mother and I have grieved for Tina Majors more than ever this year. There are so many questions I want to ask her and so many memories I want her to be a part of. When Majors is old enough to read Austin City Limits, I want him to know who his Grandma was. Here are some Tina facts.....
She loved Elvis
She cooked the best Spaghetti in the world
She was always wrapped up in a blanket
Her favorite color was blue
She loved Mike Majors and nobody understood their relationship but they always made it work
She could dance really good
She said things backwards from time to time
She remembered everybody's birthday and had them all written on her calendar
She was as sweet as they come but could also cuss you out when necessary
She loved football and was a great coaches wife
She kept her home very clean and was an excellent mother
She was given 2 kidneys by Uncle Eddie and Papa Wiggins
She loved the beach, which is why Aunt KK and Uncle J got married at the beach
When it was time for her to go to heaven she was the bravest person I have ever seen
She was very sick but never really let that stop her from being a wonderful mother, sister, daughter, wife, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend

Today I will remember Elvis, Spaghetti, the love my parents shared, Fescue St., and all the people that loved her. We can't wait to see you again!!

Oh Christmas Tree

Majors loved seeing all the Trees at the Christmas tree farm. He really liked the small ones that were just his size. It was a great outing with the Daniel's. I guess it's a tradition. He also loved the lights when we put them up. He can turn on the tree by himself and says "pretty" or "tree", we can't tell which one he is saying but for some reason it sounds like both.
